A bit late to this one, but do you think there is scope to persuade some people to make counterfactual donations to make up the shortfall?

Additionally, out of personal interest, does the community have a good idea of the effectiveness of these grants? I saw it mentioned that encouraging greater prioritisation of more effective spend areas, this seems like a potentially fuitful avenue, and could have lasting impact if 'embeds' higher impact causes as a larger share of the overall pot. But also it would be a nice thing to be able to point to specific areas which have a funding shortfall to persuade people to give to those areas who otherwise may not be interested in global development causes.
